I’ve just had my painting ‘Maggie’ accepted for the Royal Watercolour Society 21st Century open exhibition. It will run from 16th February – 11th March at the Bankside Gallery, near the Tate Modern in London. I’ll be posting the second and subsiquent stages of this painting on the blog, over the next few days.
My painting ‘Big Tom’ has been accepted for the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour open exhibition at the Mall Galleries, London which will be open to the public from 15th March – 5th April.
If you like watercolours these are great exhibitions to see. Also look out for the Singer & Friedlander/Sunday Times exhibition, also at the Mall Galleries, a bit later in the year.
1st stage of Maggie

This is the first bit of my latest watercolour. I often try and get the eyes right early on, so as not to waste time on the rest if the eyes go pear-shaped.
