My first blog post

Hello, here is my first blog-post.
I’m doing some work for a competition at the moment, I can’t post it up until it’s been accepted and judged otherwise I might be in breach of the rules. I’ll let you know how it goes and hopefully I will have something more to show you soon!
Hope you like the website …
Sue, your work is outstanding. I find these faces much more complex and entertaining and disturbing and contorted and ahhh. I feel them, do you ever want to eat your paintings? They make me want to eat them :)
I followed a link from a site where your web developer posted it. (http://forum.textpattern.com). The website is also a perfect folder for your work.
Well done.

This website compliments your art perfectly! I love the faces on the left of the screen as you browse.
To comment on your art I couldn’t do it justice, but needless to say, it seriously appeals to me, and I really appreciate the fact that you paint people as they are.. no hiding of blemishes, smoothing of skin or other glossyness. This gives a fabulous genuine quality to your work that is so compelling.
I look forward to admiring more from you, and thank you for making this site so that we can all appreciate what you do!!

Like your studio Sue. Have sent your web link to our daughter. Love your caricatures. The portrait of the Queen is so lifelike. Keep up the good work. Len

Congratulations for your work and online portofolio. Your art not only expresses a great talent, but also a litte… you know… stuff. A soul, a flicker of ‘douce folie’ . Uncommon and beautiful.

I found your site through Drawn.ca. I can just tell you had enormous fun doing the portrait paintings, and they really have character, both yours and the subjects. Its a beautiful marrage of the two, and congradulations on achieving it. I hope you continued to be inspired by the uniqueness of faces, and in turn inspire all who see your work.

Sue, I just stumbled upon your work after browsing the “drawn” site… really love what you are doing with your portraits… really painterly and inspiring for me. Any chance you could tell me what paints you are using for the skin tones? Hope so.. I’m really keen on improving on some of my own portrait stuff… keep up the fantastic work!!
